Adam Hall – ist ein vielseitiger australischer Sänger, Komponist und ein herausragender Trompetenspieler. Er tat sich 2005 mit „The Velvet Playboys“ zusammen mit dem Plan eine fetzige, klassische Rhythm & Blues Band
zu gründen. Um es kurz zu machen: Diese Fusion hat bestens funktioniert!
Die Band zeichnet sich durch ihre energiegeladene Live-Performance aus, zusammen mit einem Repertoire welches das Publikum einfach sofort (!) mitnimmt. Dazu eine sensationelle multiinstrumentale Brass-Section, bei der man glauben könnte, man hätte ein ganzes Orchester vor sich. So erinnert die Band an die alten Zeiten von Rat Pack oder Louis Prima im Las Vegas der 50er Jahre – swingender Jazz, rockiger Rhythm and Blues sowie Boogie Woogie!
